Jeep’s Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs are the largest available Jeep vehicles and they are definitely a hit in the market of three-row SUVs. If you are looking to purchase a Wagoneer or a Grand Wagoneer you might be wondering what the differences are between the two full-size SUVs.

Luckily we’ve broken down the differences between the two, right here at Walt Massey Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Columbia to help you decide which is best for you.

Exterior

Although the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer feature the same body style there are a few differences when it comes to the trims that give the Grand Wagoneer a more luxurious feel. The Grand Wagoneer features chrome accents, a black roof, LED lighting accents, a different hood style, and more prominent fender flares. There are also power-retractable running boards that come standard.

Both the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer offer wheel options from 18 inches to 22 inches. The Grand Wagoneer also has its own unique color options as well.

Interior

The Wagoneer comes with standard seating for 8 passengers while the Grand Wagoneer features captain’s chairs in the second row making the standard seating capacity 7.

The Grand Wagoneer features leather and wood trim accents on the interior giving it a more luxurious look. The Grand Wagoneer offers exclusive optional features such as four-zone climate control, 24-way power seats, and a McIntosh audio system with more speakers. The available screen options for the Grand Wagoneer are also larger than the ones offered with the Wagoneer.

Performance

The Wagoneer comes standard with rear-wheel drive and is equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine with cylinder deactivation and a 48-volt hybrid assist referred to as eTorque. The Wagoneer gets up to 392 horsepower with 404 lb-ft of torque. Auto shoppers can choose between different four-wheel drive systems and the Wagoneer is also capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds.

The Grand Wagoneer takes it a step further with the 6.4-liter V-8 engine with 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with four-wheel drive thanks to the cylinder deactivation technology. The Grand Wagoneer has a lower tow rating than the Wagoneer at 9,860 pounds.
